I am someone who has watched you from the time you were kids,
Long before the day you married, I watched everything you did.
I knew of your near failures, when you bowed beneath your load,
And I saw you come to Jesus, as you chose the narrow road.
I watched you find each other, as your love began to grow,
For you see I had to find you, and your hearts I had to know.
I was sent a servent angel, my assignment from the Lord,
Was to find a special couple, who loved Jesus and his Word.

I took all that I had gathered back to heaven for the test,
It was God who had assigned me, only God could do the rest.
He pondered as he read things, I had written about you,
When He stopped, His eyes were tearfilled, He said, "Yes, oh yes, they'll do.
"

God said, "Bring me now this baby, fill his heart to overflow,
With love and joy and laughter, so that everyone will know.
That this child is someone special, he's a miracle on loan.
He will touch the lives of many, then so soon, I'll bring him home."

With that the little baby, was laid in God's strong embrace.
A tear that fell from God's eyes, rolled down on the baby's face.
"Little Jordan, Mommy's ready, let's don't make your daddy wait."
He handed me this tiny gift, and said, "Please don't be late."

I brought the precious bundle, and I place him in your care.
In the middle of confusion, as you prayed, I too was there.
I stood close by little Jordan, as a guardian must do.
I felt your joy and laughter, and sometimes I cried with you.

Then in early, early morning, God said, "Bring this child to me.
Down on earth sometimes he suffers, but up here, he's whole and free.
He's a little sister waiting for her brother to return.
He touched all the lives who knew him, a homecoming he has earned."

Now to you, God sends a message, for the sorrow that you bear,
Because you are so faithful, He placed Jordan in your care.
And the tear that fell from God's eyes resting on the baby's face,
Were a symbol of His Mercy, and assurance of His Grace.
